LNDF Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 To clarify the purpose of the feature, I'll take the exemple of Affinity photo : If I want to make a quick modification on a picture (say, make a hue shift), I can open the picture in affinity photo, add the filter and hit cmd+s. When I try to save, the software will ask me : "The document contains non-pixel elements. Would you like to save the document flattened to pixels, or save as a new document?" With two options : Save Flattened, which will overwrite the file Save As which will create a new affinity photo project. I'd like the same behaviour for SVG on affinity Designer. When working on programming projects, I'll often find myself in the need to make a small edit to an svg (say change a color or adjust a curve) while keeping the same name for path validity sake. The problem is, affinity Designer doesn't propose this functionality : to avoid creating a project you'll need to go to the export menu, set the parameter, validate, and confirm the overwrite. This merely take dozens of seconds, but can quickly become tedious in the case of quick successive iterations. Thanks for reading me, have a nice day ! Quote
