joel_motion Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 I love using the Affinity app, but I cannot get the export that I need from it. It's not the most common need, but there are times when having a "none" option for anti-aliasing is a must. For example, if you are creating a custom anisotropy map for a 3D render, this is required. This is because every grayscale value has a corresponding effect on the direction of the light reflection, so any anti-aliasing will give you ugly artifacts in the render. Without this option, Affinity Designer cannot be used by 3D artists to make custom anisotropy maps. I would love for this to change, because having to port my design into Illustrator is very inconvenient. (The image on the left is unusable for anisotropy as well as for any manufacturing process that requires no anti-aliasing)

joel_motion Posted August 21, 2024 Author Posted August 21, 2024 Thanks @Pšenda, that was what I was looking for. I hadn't seen that in the documentation. In my defense, I didn't expect to see antialiasing options inside of the "Layer blend ranges" page. Glad to know it's an accessible feature. Pšenda 1
