this just started happening on my MacBook Pro. Inside Affinity Publisher, when I try to click and drag an element, or resize a text frame, etc., the left-click is interpreted by Affinity as a right-click (I get a menu that comes up for cut, copy, etc.)

In other words, I can't resize frames, drag objects around, etc.

this only happens in Affinity--all other programs on my Mac are working fine, and this isn't happening.

any idea what is going on here? The program is unusable for me right now

Hi @sials1066 and welcome to the forums,

Without seeing your file it will be a little difficult to know the cause of the problem...

if you haven't already, try a quick reboot of Affinity Publisher to see if that overcomes the issue and if not could you upload a sample file where you see the problem or better still, a screen recording showing the full UI with the Layers panel visible so we can see what is happening...

Affinity Designer 2.6.3 | Affinity Photo 2.6.3 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.3

below is a picture of what happens when I try to resize a text frame (or image frame). I left-click and the right-click menu comes up intermittently (80% of the time)

Hi @sials1066,

There's nothing obviously wrong in your screenshot, I take it rebooting Publisher made no difference? Out of interest which mouse are you using?

Could you upload the file so we can see what is going on...

looks like the trackpad may have had oil on it that was causing a problem--I started noticing the issue in other programs

I cleaned it and it seems to be OK now

we can close this one out--not an affinity problem
