brhoom Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 I was testing the free trail. When the suit was 50% off. Now i I decid ro buy it. But apperently the 50% is no more. I just feel the 50% should be considered for those who started or had the trail running during the offer. Specially for speciality software like that where we need time to learn and move from one software to another. I missed my chance now i am back to adobe since i missed the offer. Your logic escapes me: apparently you would have purchased Affinity (presumably because you like it), if you could still have it at half price. Now, however, you'd rather pay a subscription to Adobe for evermore, than buy Affinity at the normal price (which is still very good value)! Stef71 Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 Jou can always just wait untill the next offer comes along (there will be next offers) But remeber: Adobe won't let you cancel without paying the remainder of your subscription fee so is it really a better deal to stay there while you wait for another 50% offer from serif? Very bizarre assumption. So if you got the demo on the last day of the sale they still honour that sale price for 6 months later? The 2 are not connected. One is a demo, the other is a sale. Sales have end dates and I am assuming the end date was listed for the sale. As for switching back to Adobe because the sale is over, this makes zero sense. In 3 months of an Adobe subscription you will have bought the full pack from Affinity. Affinity you will have to use forever (as long as your computer supports running it) with no extra payments. One and done. Adobe you are paying monthly till you are ready to call it quits and at that time you have no software to keep till you start paying again. The whole post has feeling of entitlement to it. At full value the Affinity Suite is a great value for most people. A half price it was a "stupid crazy deal" that is hard to pass up, I know I did not pass up on it and I use Adobe professionally. Quote

I'm therefore quite surprised that these users didn't protest here again, because the mentioned 50% discount was even higher - which is a clear mockery of all us honest paying and honest upgrading users 🙂 Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.5.7.2948 (Retail) Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 24H2, Build 26100.2605.
