KarinC Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 I closed my KDP account and unpublished my one and only book. I want to offer it as a downloadable PDF for sale on my website. Right now the content is a Publisher file, 300 dpi, black and white drawings, meant for print. What would be the best way to export it at the best quality for screen but low file size for download? I assume some people will want to print some pages. If I can keep the file size down I might want to add some small amounts of color. Nothing fancy, just flat color. I have spent so much time learning how to optimize pdf for print, now I need to rethink about how to optimize for download. Quote

I suggest the PDF Export Preset either PDF (Digital small size), which should produce a small sized PDF which will look good on screen and should also give a good print result (but you might want to test that just to be sure) or PDF (Digital high quietly) which will be larger PDF but should print better quality Quote
