Hangman Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 Hi @siapec, When you say "States -> Capture States Prevent File To Close and Save Normally" are you referring to the fact that after changing State, Saving, Closing then re-opening the file on Windows you are always presented with the Open Recovery File message? I see the same issue on Windows, i.e., the ~lock~ file isn't being deleted when closing the file, unlike Mac where the ~lock~ file is deleted... There are currently several known triggers for ~lock~ files not being deleted however they are all Mac-specific so I think this is a new one that isn't logged unless it's been logged internally by Serif... Someone in the Moderation team will pick this post up and then log this as a bug... siapec Posted September 3, 2024 Author Posted September 3, 2024 Can you tell me if they will fix. Not Fix in 2.5.5 Quote
Hangman Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Hi @siapec, The hope is that this will be fixed in the v2.6 cycle, though there is no guarantee that will be the case... Once a fix has been made this thread will be updated with an Affinity Info Bot post letting all following the thread know it's been fixed... Serif does not provide any information, other than what an active Beta version has included, when bugs are fixed. The Affinity Info Bot has not posted in this thread so it's not been fixed yet. I also checked through the list of Bug fixes for V2.6, and it's not included. So far there's no active beta so it may be a few weeks, months, years. 😳 Quote Affinity Photo 2.6..; Affinity Designer 2.6..; Affinity Publisher 2.6..; Affinity2 Beta versions. Have you confirmed that it is in fact not saving? In some cases like this, the file Saves properly, but the application simply fails to remove the lock and the autosave information, which confuses the processing when you re-Open the file. If that's the case, you can simply decline the offer to open the recovery file, and you should have all the data.
