kenmcd Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 @Patrick Connor - You seem to be the forum admin. As you probably know... the Inter font used in the forum comes from Google Fonts web fonts. Around 2024-07-31 they (GF) went live with a new version. I checked here on 2024-08-01 and it was still v3.019. I checked here on 2024-08-07 and it was now v4.001. The Inter font update is a breaking change. Inter v3.019 had a slant axis which was the "italics". Inter v4.001 now has a separate Italic font. This requires a change in the embed code. I can see that the italic text here in the forum is faked. The slant is too much, so it is probably the browser faking it, because the font embed code is not working correctly. I did take a look at the Invision Community change-log and they did have an update last week - but no mention of any font embedding fixes. So the forum CSS needs an update for the font(s) update. I guess you need to talk with Invision. Sorry if this is not the appropriate place, but the forum does not have a separate forum for forum issues (which I would recommend).

Thank you. I will look into it. 12 hours ago, kenmcd said: I did take a look at the Invision Community change-log and they did have an update last week We only update when we choose, and the latest version 4.7.18 may well have addressed this as we are on 4.7.12, waiting for an opportunity to patch. We will likely patch soon and in doing so see what happens to the fonts, however if it is not fixed by the update, we do not tend to change the code manually as it makes a lot more more work when you update. 12 hours ago, kenmcd said: I guess you need to talk with Invision.
