Hi, I'm running into a problem with precise movement of nodes. When I select a node with the Node Tool, and try to move any node, there is a minimum distance where my mouse and hand are moving, but the node isn't. The result is that nodes have a minimum moving distance that seems to be dependent on my level of zoom. Here's a screen recording of the issue, keep in mind I have snapping turned off.

As you can see in the video, my mouse is moving for several pixels before the node starts to move. I am unsure if this is a bug or an intended feature. Either way I would like the nodes to move with my mouse more smoothly. Thanks for any help/feedback!

Welcome to the forums @snakes89

Because you haven’t shown us the full screen I can’t see, among other things, if you have “Force Pixel Alignment” switched ON or OFF.

Note: Full-screen (whole application UI) screenshots and videos are often much more useful for diagnostic purposes.

Having said that, on Windows, there is a very slight ‘lag’ between the node moving when I immediately try to drag a node versus when I wait a fraction of a second before dragging a node after I first press the mouse button down.

I don’t know if this could be because the system/application is waiting to see if you might be double-clicking instead of dragging, or something like that.

Maybe, perhaps, this could be ‘fixed’ with a mouse/system setting change but I wouldn’t know which one on whichever OS you are using.

Oh yes. I have the same problem. Even with Force Pixel Alignment off.

This could be really stressfull.

If you want to quickly move your nodes a tiny bit, it's absolutely impossible. It jumps like on win 98🙂
