Aurica Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 If I have edited a page by switching from Publisher to Designer the if I try to edit a different page by switching from Publisher I get the always get the first page I switched to. Quote
GarryP Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 (edited) Welcome to the forums @Aurica By “switching from” did you mean you used the “Edit in Designer” and “Edit in Publisher” functionalities in the File menu, or something else? If you have both Publisher and Designer then (in a lot of cases) you shouldn’t need to use Designer unless you need its Export Persona its Export Persona and/or Pixel Persona. Just open the document in Publisher and then switch to the Designer Persona, and back, as necessary. Edited August 14, 2024 by GarryP Added clarification. Aurica 1 Quote
Hangman Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 Hi @Aurica and another welcome to the forums, How are you selecting the second page in Publisher? Are you just scrolling to it in the viewport Selecting it in the Pages Panel Double-clicking it in the Pages Panel Using Document > Go to Page Before selecting Edit in Designer for the second page is the correct page number shown in the status bar at the bottom left of the screen? I needed to do some editing using the Pixel persona in designer which doesn't seem to be available in Publisher Quote

Hangman Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 I think we're talking at slight cross purposes but I understand what you're saying... There is no Pixel Persona in Publisher, only a Photo Persona, so yes, you'd need Photo to use the Photo Persona but in response to Gary's initial reply asking why the need to switch to Designer" Quote If you have both Publisher and Designer then (in a lot of cases) you shouldn’t need to use Designer unless you need its Export Persona. Just open the document in Publisher and then switch to the Designer Persona, and back, as necessary. The reply was "That's what I meant. I needed to do some editing using the Pixel persona in Designer which doesn't seem to be available in Publisher"... I read your reply to "Yes, you'd also need Photo to have that." as you'd need Photo to use the Pixel Persona in Designer, hence my reply... Sorry for any confusion... walt.farrell 1 Quote Affinity Designer 2.6.3 | Affinity Photo 2.6.3 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.3 MacBook Pro M3 Max, 36 GB Unified Memory, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, Magic Mouse HP ENVY x360, 8 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, Windows 10 Home, Logitech Mouse
GarryP Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 I seem to have caused some confusion with an error; I forgot about the Pixel Persona earlier. I’ve fixed my earlier post to make it more accurate. Hangman 1 Quote
