When resizing a document proportionally, once the maximum height is exceeded the page width is correctly scaled proportionally...

Mac

The value for both the width and height fields never exceeds the maximum permitted value for the respective document dpi. Once the maximum proportional value for width or height is entered, the page is no longer scaled proportionally...

I'm unsure what the expected behaviour is but technically both behaviours could be considered incorrect when scaling a document proportionally, i.e., with the link icon selected...

Example

Maximum dimensions for a 300 dpi document are W: 21,674.67 mm x H: 21,674.67 mm

  • Create a 300 dpi A4 Portrait document - 210 mm x 297 mm
  • With the link icon enabled resize the document by entering 22,000 mm in the width field
  • On Mac, the new document dimensions are W: 21,674.67 mm x H: 21,674.67 mm *
  • On Windows, the new document dimensions are W: 21,674.67 mm x H: 30,654.17 mm **

  • Create a 300 dpi A4 Portrait document - 210 mm x 297 mm
  • With the link icon enabled resize the document by entering 22,000 mm in the height field
  • On Mac, the new document dimensions are W: 15,325.52 mm x H: 21, 674.67 mm
  • On Windows, the new document dimensions are W: 15,325.52 mm x H: 21, 674.67 mm

  • Create a 300 dpi A4 Landscape document - 297 mm x 210 mm
  • With the link icon enabled resize the document by entering 22,000 mm in the width field
  • On Mac, the new document dimensions are W: 21,674.67 mm x H: 15,325.52 mm
  • On Windows, the new document dimensions are W: 21,674.67 mm x H: 15,325.52 mm

  • Create a 300 dpi A4 Landscape document - 297 mm x 210 mm
  • With the link icon enabled resize the document by entering 22,000 mm in the height field
  • On Mac, the new document dimensions are W: 21,674.67 mm x H: 21,674.67 mm *
  • On Windows, the new document dimensions are W: 30,654.17 mm x H: 21,674.67 mm **

* Proportional scaling isn't maintained when the link icon is selected
** Dimension exceeds the permitted value for the document dpi

The above is true for any document dpi though the maximum values will differ based on the respective dpi...
