Is it possible to create graphics/text and use them numerous times within the same project by saving them somewhere?

Recommended Posts

I am a new user of Affinity Publisher 2, and this is my first post to the forum.
I have used Serif Page Plus 8 for many years, and recently changed over to Affinity Publisher 2 because my P.C failed and the new one couldn't take Page Plus.
I am enjoying learning and working with Affinity Publisher 2.
I often create objects from the shapes tool and would love to be able to do as I did with Page Plus and save the objects to a dedicated "Assets" folder linked to the page.. This enabled me to use the same object or text simply by dragging from the "assets" folder into the document as many times as needed without the need to copy/paste every time.
My question being is this available in Affinity Publisher 2? I cannot find any reference to it within the program so if there is I'm hoping to be told what to do.

If the reader is not familiar with Serif Page Plus I have attached a screenshot. This was taken on an old P.C with Page Plus software.
Side note: I have hundreds of Page Plus files that will eventually have to be changed over to publisher 2, but the thought of creating a PDF for each one and importing into Publisher 2 is a bit daunting at the moment, so will have to wait!

Thank you for reading this rather lengthy post of which I apologise.

There is an assets panel in every Affinity app, if you wish to have multiple layers in one asset, group them.

Thank you "firstdefence" for your response. Unfortunately I still cannot grasp the information you have given me. I still don't know what to actually do to save elements of a document I reuse time and time again within the document without constantly copying/pasting on the page.
I'm sure its just me, so I'll have to carry on as I am in ignorance.

regards

Joned.
