BBG3 Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 I make many mistakes, finding the mistakes and fixing them due to showing a wrong selected page. Many times, I don't know where I'm at. The selected page shows elsewhere. I duplicate, copy, or delete the wrong pages. Please let me know if I need to activate a function in settings... walt.farrell Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 In the Pages panel a page thumbnail may have a gray outline or a blue outline. These are for different purposes. 1. Gray shows you the current page for editing purposes. 2. Blue shows you the current page for operations within the Pages panel. To avoid confusion, you can confirm the page you're editing by looking at the Page Navigator in the Status Bar (which you've omitted from your screenshot, but which should be at the bottom of the application window). If you don't see the Status Bar, you may need to press the Tab key or use View > Toggle User Interface. to restore it (and then possibly use the View menu to restore other parts of the interface). As you haven't shown us the complete application window it's hard to be sure. You can also click on a page in the workspace to make sure it's selected and current. BBG3 Posted August 12, 2024 Author Posted August 12, 2024 Thank you, @walt.farrell for the clarification. You are always a big help. The gray border is very hard to see. Is it possible to change the selection color? And no, you can't change it. But the Page Navigator will confirm what page is current for workspace editing. This may be risky, too, if you run into a known/logged rendering issue when drag-selecting objects on a different spread. Then it can easily happen that objects from the previously active page are redrawn as if they were currently selected on this current page – this isn't confusing only but also may cause that you e.g. move or delete objects unintentionally. – I can't tell if it got fixed in V2, @DanC's reply was in June 2022 (before V2, right?)
