Dear all, I would like to ask you about the possibility of translating your Affinity Photo 2 program into the Czech language. I am working with https://www.sw.cz/, a company that sells your products. I supply this company with language localizations for some programs and SW.CZ asked me if it would be possible to create an English version of your Affinity Photo 2 program. I use the Soluling program from https://www.soluling.com/ for translations. With this program I am able to create a compilation to display the original files so that I can translate them, see the sample.

When I want to reverse compile and create a Czech language file, it is not created and the program is reported:

Would you be willing to help me with this problem, or provide me with a source file that I could translate and use in your program to make it communicate in Czech. Thank you in advance for your help.

Welcome to the Affinity Forums @Jiří Russ!

I understand that sw.cz are an official reseller of the Affinity apps - however what they've asked you to do with the Affinity apps is against our License Agreement / Terms and Conditions and to my knowledge has not been agreed upon by our team, prior to your modification of these files.

As per our License Agreement:

Quote

12. Except to the extent necessary for the normal and permitted use of the Serif Software or to the extent that such right cannot be excluded by law or to the extent required to be permitted by licensing terms governing use of open source components that may be included with the Serif Software:

a.) You have no right (and shall not permit any third party) to copy, adapt, amend, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, create derivative works of, decrypt, modify, distribute or make error corrections to any aspect of the Serif Software in whole or in part

Equally, as per our Terms and Conditions:

All material including text, graphics and source code are the copyright of Serif or its partners. Any unauthorised use of the materials on this site is strictly prohibited.

Therefore we would not provide you with any source files for the Affinity apps and we must ask for you to cease your modification of this data until/unless an agreement can be reached externally.

I recommend informing sw.cz that this is against our Licence Agreement and asking them to contact affinity@serif.com directly, so we can discuss this further in private.

Many thanks for your understanding.
