Joe Swann Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 A few months ago I completed my first book using Affinity Publisher. Since I was on the front end of a steep learning curve I decided to forego the book project feature and put my book in one file. It was a bit cumbersome when I decided to reorder a chapter, but otherwise, okay. This time around I am considering using the book project feature; however, I can't seem to crack indexing names and terms in a book project nor does cross-referencing seem to go smoothly. All the documentation I find tells me what I already know and helped me be successful when my book is all one big file. Can anyone point me to resources to doing these things in a book project? Quote

Joe Swann Posted August 11, 2024 Author Posted August 11, 2024 Thank you for reminding about this resource. I had forgotten about it and it looks like he's added a lot of information regarding book projects to his guide sine I saw it last fall. Quote

I found that you need to have the chapter that you're cross-referencing to open when you're inserting the CR in the source chapter. Then search by word or page number to find the point where you want to insert the CR.
