newy Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 I've done a focus merge, and used the clone tool to fine tune the image using the sources panel. As soon as i used the inpainting tool to remove a blemish, the sources disappear, and i cant get them back. Is there a way to get them back to do further adjustments, or is my options to move on or start again from the beginning? thanks Newy. Quote

If you switch back to the clone tool do they not show up again? Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. newy Posted August 11, 2024 Author Posted August 11, 2024 Thanks Carl. yes, in this instance yes, I can see they do reappear. To explain further, Ive been trying to recreate a problem i had earlier in which i'd done a lot of editing, and saved, and later reopened the .afphoto image to fix a merged section. Then i was unable to get the sources to reappear. is there some point where they are discarded? such as when you save or close the image? I would have thought they'd remain within the afphoto file. Saving is Ok but closing the document will remove them But if you close the document, you can still get the original focus merge documents back in the sources panel by using the "Add Global Source" button in the panel (See the Help file on "Sources Panel" for instructions) Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. None of that information is retained across closing the document.
