Pyanepsion Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Hello everyone, I'd like to draw your attention to the need to improve the adjustment of misaligned objects in our projects. This problem becomes particularly relevant in contexts such as the correction of cadastral maps, the revision of pieces of a complex jigsaw puzzle, and many other similar situations. Let's take the example of a cadastral map: each plot of land needs to line up precisely with those around it. These maps were initially created as raster images. They were then poorly vectorised (due to the inadequate quality of the tools used at the time), which led to numerous inaccuracies and adversely affected the quality of the final document. I propose the development of a feature that would allow an entire area to be selected and an automatic adjustment applied in a single operation according to the desired precision (pixels, millimetres, metres, ⅓ inches, ¼ cm, etc.). This feature would not only simplify, but also considerably speed up the correction process, eliminating laborious manual adjustments. precise-rounding.mp4 In the attached Affinity Designer example, we see three misaligned objects. I have imagined an adjustment down to the pixel. The time required for manual enhancement would take a few seconds per point, whereas this function would allow instant modification. The result would still show some offsets, but these would then be quickly resolved using the existing magnetism feature. It should be noted that the latter should ideally also adjust to the desired precision, and not just to the nearest pixel as seems to be the case at present. This feature would be particularly beneficial in real-life situations where objects contain hundreds or even thousands of points. The gain in time and efficiency would simply be prodigious. I'm convinced that this improvement could greatly optimise our processes and ensure greater accuracy in future projects. Thank you for your attention. precise-rounding.afdesign Quote 6 cœurs, 12 processus - Windows 11 pro - 4K - DirectX 12 - Suite universelle Affinity (Affinity Publisher, Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo). ███ Mais je vous le demande, peut-on imaginer une police sans sérifs ?
