kirk23 Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Please add a bit more option to Designer brush strokes . Like ability to have more repeating sectors alternating instead of just single one . Ability to scatter both vector and bitmap "symbols" along brush stoke with random offset Quote
fde101 Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 Designer can use the brushes from Photo if you import them, but you need to use them in the Pixel persona, as they are designed for raster work rather than vector work. There is a massive amount of room for improvement in the brush engines for both vector and raster objects in the Affinity products. Quote

The last time I checked, in the iPad version of AD you need to be in the Pixel persona when you import them. You don’t get an error message if you’re not, but they won’t show up when you switch personas. fde101 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)
kirk23 Posted August 13, 2024 Author Posted August 13, 2024 Pixel brushes are better than Photoshop ones at least and it's a plus. I would still love picture nozzles, erasing secondary stroke and not just single repeating part in the vector strokes. Would love they would bring back this last thing at least . Looks like their vector soft is focused on interface/ web design only. People would still use Figma anyway. I wish they do rather illustration , graphic design thing . All brush strokes should be vector and non destructive till you specifically want to rasterize them. So whatever good they are in Photo it's not good enough till you able to do a precise touch you can with vector path. Quote
