MaybeSo Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 (edited) I really like the *concept* of the paintbrush Opacity shortcut in Affinity Photo (1=10%, 2=20%, etc.) -- but I never have a need to change the opacity on the fly. Instead I constantly need to change the paintbrush Width. Could there be a way to assign the paintbrush Opacity shortcut to one/any of the other paintbrush attributes (Width, Opacity, Flow, Hardness, etc.) Depending on the work being done, we often focus on a single parameter (maybe opacity for a bit, then maybe hardness for a bit) ... so it would be helpful if the shortcut could be applied to the attribute we're currently focused on. This way *all* the paintbrush attributes get the benefit of having a/the shortcut. Unfortunately, Width isn't a % like the other attributes, so it doesn't directly map ... but maybe mapping powers of 2 to the keys might be appropriate (1=2px, 2=4px, 8px, 16, 32, etc), maybe 1, 5, 10, 20, might be more useful; or maybe a user-definable table of widths in Settings. However it was implemented, being able to use 1, 2, 3 for Width would still be better than the existing shortcut where you have to pound on the [ and ] keys like a video game to cycle through the brush sizes.
