Could you please add a settings section where we choose default locations for our save / load dialogs etc.

Everything always goes to the last used location.  So when I go to open a project it jumps to my renders folder.  When I want to render something it jumps to my projects folder.  Brutal.

If we could choose defaults in advance then the program would jump to our default for that specific task.  I would choose my projects folder  for the 'Open' dialog.  So it would disregard what I was doing previously.  Every time I choose File/Open it would open the dialog at my projects folder every time.

The things I can think of that would be involved in this defaults system is Save (all types), Open, Export, Import Content, the Place tool.

You could add a history section to the dialogs.  The person could click on the most recent folder if they want, instead of the default.

Ok, well I couldn't find those posts.

I should be able to save to my projects folder when I want to save it and export to my renders folder when I want to render.  This is pretty basic computing.

In the meantime, both Windows and macOS have functions to "pin" a folder into the File Explorer or Finder sidebar, and if you do that with your commonly-used folders it will help you get to them quickly from any of those Affinity dialogs.

Yes, thank you.  I'm all out of reactions for today, so here have a like.  💙
