rnmartinez Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 I realize that this is for V2, but I am hopeful that the 3.x branch could be the right time for Serif to offer a native Linux version. Without going over all of the posts that already exist generally in the forum, I honestly feel that there are users such as myself that would pay for a Linux license. Alfred Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 I’m sure there are many users like you who would pay for a Linux licence, but would the numbers be sufficient to turn a big enough profit? As things stand, Serif seems to think not. affinity-chicken 1 Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)
affinity-chicken Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 Just got an offer from Serif. However, since I changed to Linux about two years ago, all Affinity offers don't make sense for me anymore. Unfortunately.
Dan C Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 Thanks for your post @rnmartinez! There are many existing threads here on the forums regarding Linux support and I understand that at this time, our position has not changed on supporting this OS. We ask for any Affinity on Linux discussions to continue in these previous threads, rather than starting new ones, such as the following - Therefore I will be locking this thread, many thanks for your understanding
