Extract text from Publisher files

Is there some way to extract/export text only from a Publisher file?

Unfortunately, no. Your best bet is to use Select All and Copy.

Scripts to export the current story and all the text in the document is on my list of the first scripts I plan to write when scripting becomes available, if somebody doesn't beat me to it.

As workaround you could use on mac an exported PDF, opened in the PDF viewer Podofyllin (free) https://eclecticlight.co/delighted-podofyllin/, it offers rtf and txt export.

On Mac, copying text from Publisher copies RTF text. Images are not copied with it.
