I am new to affinity. Was wondering what people thought of my image of Peterborough Cathedral

Hello @Cosmic Unicorn. Please tell us that you shot this as a raw file. If you did, there’s a decent possibility you can recover the blown-out whites. If all you have is a jpg, though, those detail-free whites are most likely lost forever.

The composition itself is nice, and there are probably lots of little touches that can make the photo quite nice (some selective vignetting, maybe some HSL changes). But you’ve got to deal with those whites. Take the image into the Develop persona and turn on the exposure warnings; you’ll probably see lots of red. Those areas have no detail at all.

You have dozens of black and white 1px dots all over the image

Any idea what's causing them, are all images from that camera the same?

It might help us to give some feedback on your image if you also let us see the original image (if that’s not the original) and tell us what your intentions were when manipulating it (if you have manipulated it).

Otherwise all you are asking is: “Do you like my picture?”
