Hi,

I have an issue with Affinity Publisher,

It appears very slow and freezes when switching between tools.

But when I change windows user, everyhing works fine. With the same settings, with or without hardware acceleration. Existing document and fresh document.

May it be something in the local registry? Something in local Appdata?

Anyone got any clue?

Welcome to the Affinity forums, Emil.

When that happens it can indicate that you have installed some conflicting software, but only on the user where it fails. So I would start by logging in as each of those users, running Task Manager, and comparing the list of active processes and background processes. Perhaps check Startup Processes, too.

If you have some running in the user where it fails that are not in the user where it works, try stopping them to see if that fixes the problem.

Another thing it can indicate is that some add-ons you've installed on the user where it fails that are causing a problem. For example, if you have more Assets or Brushes or Styles or ... installed there.

The below thread is about APhoto, but maybe it helps with publisher as well.
