Save failed because the file could not be written to - Photo 2, Sonoma 14.5

I am having the exact same problem as reported here but with Affinity Photo 2, and I am using a brand new Mac Pro... Sonoma 14.5... I have tried the suggestion of copying and pasting everything to a new document, but when I do that it also doesn't work. Not sure what to do... I am going to lose my work if I have to shut it down

So it's clearly not a problem with my local network environment, as has always been claimed, but a rather problematic Affinity bug. As I said elsewhere, I think it's high time to use the next rounds of development to fix the many unresolved bugs that are making our daily work so difficult. As @MiriamNZ rightly said: "Sorry, it's hard when you are working to deadline. You just work around it and carry on, and don't make notes about what happened."

Hi @CrisC,

This error can be triggered by something in the file.  What's your image placement policy set to in Affinity? To check this click File>Image Placement and let me know which one is ticked.

You can also check the Resource Manager (Window>Resource Manager) if any resources show as linked, try setting them to embedded and then try saving again.
