SenotS Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 Have since a couple of days issues with Affinity Designer (2.5.3), when starting a PDF export, designer crashes continue. This only happens with exporting to PDF Quote
Hangman Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 Hi @SenotS and welcome to the forums, Can you upload your Affinity Designer document so we can take a look at what might be causing it to crash when exporting to PDF? Could you also confirm which PDF Preset you are using when exporting? Dan C Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 Welcome to the Affinity Forums & sorry to hear you're having trouble @SenotS! Firstly, I'd like to request a full copy of the crash report you've screenshotted above - please see our following FAQ for how to locate this report: Secondly, we can generate a separate PDF.log file which should contain more document specific information to the cause of this crash. Please see our below FAQ for how to generate this file, which should be created even if the app crashes during export: Can you please attach a copy of the PDF.log file, alongside the .crash report file here for me? Many thanks in advance Quote
SenotS Posted August 9, 2024 Author Posted August 9, 2024 https://we.tl/t-x2md6a1mep this is the link for the problem file. PDF settings, tried to make screen shot but soon the image is gone due to crash Quote
Dan C Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 Thanks for providing that file for me - however I've had no issue exporting the file here without the app crashing. As mentioned, we need to know your exact PDF export settings, or see a copy of your crash report to better understand the cause of this issue. I also note that the PDF is rather large, measuring almost 2m x 1m - which will require a significant amount of resources to export and can result in a rather heavy file. If possible, are you able to verify what is expected from this exported PDF? for example are you printing this? It may benefit your document to be resized to be smaller, though I doubt this is the cause of the crashing behaviour currently. Many thanks once again! Quote
SenotS Posted August 9, 2024 Author Posted August 9, 2024 This is for printing banner, 80 x 200 cm. I copied the crash report into a word doc. Thanks! Translated Report.docx Quote
