SamuelS Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 Hi there, i've installed this font: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Exo+2 On Windows it shows different weights: I followed this Docs: https://affinity.help/designer2/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Text/variableFonts.html&title=Variable fonts But on Designer i have no option for the variables. Why? Quote

SimonBo Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Hello everyone, I have a problem with the variable font function, on my function bar the icon is present but in a semi-transparent way, when I select the text both text boxes and artistic text the button for the inactive function, this is understood with all three programs of the suite (version 2.6) Do you have any advice to give me? Thank you Quote

What happens if you select either frame text or artistic text, rather than both types of text object at the same time? SimonBo Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Hi Alfred, thanks for the reply. The button remains transparent regardless of any character I select, both in artistic text and with text boxes. I actually had this problem with the previous update. Should I try reinstalling the apps? Quote

Should I try reinstalling the apps? Alfred was asking which fonts you were using. This button will only function for variable fonts. You can tell if the font you're using is variable if it has this symbol next to it in the font list. Fonts without the little "v" on the "O" are static and not variable.
