File Share mail pdf

Hi out there

 

After I've made a pdf from a file and I go to File - Share - Mail, the file is exported as a jpeg and not a pdf.

 

Is there something I'm missing in my settings that I haven't checked?

 

Can I export a pdf directly from Affinity Designer - version 1.4.2?

Hi Vernon,

No, you cannot export/send a PDF directly from Affinity Designer/Photo to Mail app. The command you found in File menu sends the file as a JPG as you discovered.

To add the PDF as an attachment you have to do it manually, dragging it from the Finder to the Mail app.

As with all Mac apps, go to Print. In print dialog (show details), at bottom left you can send a PDF via Mail, or you can open a PDF in Preview, then share it. Only issue is it can be a large pdf file if the original is high rez.

Ah, interesting, didn't know you could do that, been using 10.5.8 up until April this year
