When re-ordering brushes in the Brushes panel the dreg and drop zones are not consistent between the left and right edges of the Brushes panel...

This means for example, in icon view with three brushes per row:

  • If selecting the middle brush in a row at any point above its vertical centre, dragging horizontally to the left edge shows the blue vertical drop zone but dragging horizontally to the right fails to show the blue vertical drop zone...
     
  • If selecting the middle brush in a row at any point below its vertical centre, dragging horizontally to the left edge fails to show the blue vertical drop zone but dragging horizontally to the right shows the blue vertical drop zone...

With the brush selected the missing drop zones at the left and right edges of the Brushes panel can be shown by moving the brush vertically downwards and vertically upwards respectively...

This isn't an issue on Windows because regardless of where on the brush icon the brush is initially selected, moving the brush icon automatically snaps the cursor to the centre of the brush icon...
