On Windows adding a Swatch Chord adds the selected colour using the colour space of the selected object and the remaining Chords are correctly added using the same colour space values as the selected object.

This is the case regardless of the Document Colour Space...

Mac

  • With an RGB selected object, for Complementary, Split Complementary, Analogous, Accented Analogic, Triadic, Tetradic and Square the selected object chord uses RGB colour values and the additional chords all use HSL values.

The Tints, Shades and Tones all use RGB values.

  • With a CMYK selected object, for Complementary, Split Complementary, Analogous, Accented Analogic, Triadic, Tetradic and Square the selected object chord uses CMYK colour values and the additional chords all use HSL values.

The Tints, Shades and Tones all use RGB values.

  • With a Greyscale selected object, for Complementary, Split Complementary, Analogous, Accented Analogic, Triadic, Tetradic and Square the selected object chord uses Greyscale colour values and the additional chords all use HSL values.

The Tints, Shades and Tones all use RGB values.

  • With a LAB selected object, for Complementary, Split Complementary, Analogous, Accented Analogic, Triadic, Tetradic and Square the selected object chord uses LAB colour values and the additional chords all use HSL values.

The Tints, Shades and Tones all use RGB values.
