imagefirst Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 I have done circular letters many times using the ellipse tool and artistic text tool. Today I created another one, I clicked in the appropriate spot on the ellipse, and I see the green triangle, only now my letters are on the inside of the ellipse. This has never happened to me before and I am confused as to what is happening and how to fix it. Quote
NotMyFault Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 The help provides the information https://affinity.help/designer2/English.lproj/pages/Text/pathText.html If path text extends beyond the start and end handles, it will flow onto a second path (below) or wrap around to follow the path in the opposite direction. If this occurs, an additional pair of start and end handles (coloured dark green and red, respectively) will become available so this new path can be adjusted separately. Both paths and pairs of handles work identically. i recommend to watch any of the tutorials to learn how to create and edit text on path optimally, as managing the handles is key and requires some good plan to do it consistently. the handles are quite small and could be difficult to spot on a high resolution display. Upper/Lower is like Inside/Outside. You may have been hitting the right spot previously and now you have hit the 'wrong' spot. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
