Keyboard compatibility

When I create a text box I can't use the keyboard functions such as pressing the space bar to slide the cursor and the automatic correction does not work.

If you're working in Publisher you can enable 'Replace text while typing' under the app settings -> Auto-correct, this will then auto replace based on the auto-correct table in the same dialog, however this is only available in Publisher.

I'm not sure I follow, can you clarify what this function is meant to do? Pressing Space while actively editing a text frame will just enter a space character.

I think you mean pressing the space bar while actively editing the contents of a text frame will just enter a space character.

Like you, I don’t know what the OP means about sliding the cursor.

I think that @bruno luz is talking about one or more of these known issues that are marked as fixed in the 2.5.5.2613 beta:
