Alma Tiiu Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 Hello everyone, I've been working on creating a detailed map in Affinity Designer and need to include an accurate representation of the Qibla direction for various locations around the world. I've come across the "direction qibla en ligne"(qibla direction online) feature on a Qibla website, which provides the Qibla direction based on geographic coordinates. Could someone guide me on how to accurately integrate this directional data into my Affinity Designer project? Specifically, I am looking for a way to: Import or input the directional data from the Qibla website into Affinity Designer. Visualize the Qibla direction on the map in a clear and precise manner. Ensure the directional arrow or line is accurately aligned with the coordinates provided. Any tips, resources, or steps on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Quote
Dan C Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 Hi @Alma Tiiu, Welcome to the Affinity Forums & our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here as our team are exceptionally busy due to our current 50% sale & extended trial offer. This isn't a workflow I've personally tried previously - however Affinity Designer does not currently support 'interactive' elements such as Maps, or importing data directly from a website/HTML source code. Therefore the only way I'm aware you could achieve this is to take screenshots of the map online, then align this carefully with your map in Designer manually. If you're able to provide a copy of the file you want to import this data into, or a better description of the result you're looking for in Designer I might be able to advise further, but from the information above I'm simply not aware of any workflow that would allow you to 'Import' this data from a website into Designer directly, our apologies.
