Hi, I’m a newbie to AP, on iPad, doing simple tasks at the moment to learn the application. However I am trying to replace a sky, simple task, when I get to the step where I need to move the new sky layer to below the background layer, no joy. I can move the top layer below the background layer but it just does nothing, the sky layer stays on top. I have tried various ways, no results. What am I doing wrong. Any help gratefully appreciated.

Welcome to the Affinity forums.

I'm having a hard time understanding your layer structure from that description. Can you supply a screenshot of the complete application window with the Layers panel visible, please?

It would also help to know which ways you have tried.

Hi @South Aussie,

Thanks for your post & our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here as our team are exceptionally busy due to our current 50% sale & extended trial offer.

All 3 of your screenshots above show the Sky 'background' layer above the masked 'Background' layer - which is why only the Sky layer can be seen currently.

You should be able to drag and drop this Sky layer in the Layers Studio to move it below your masked image:

If you're still having trouble here, are you able to provide a screen recording showing the exact steps you're taking?

Many thanks in advance :)
