Affinity Photo crashing when opening document

Recommended Posts

I created a file in Photo. Everything worked fine.

Saved, closed, tried to open the file again, Photo crashes. Every time.

Has anyone else ever encountered that? Any help?

I'm on OS X 10.11.5 running Photo 1.4.2

Hi Natto, welcome to the Forums

Sorry to hear this. Can you provide the file at all please so we can take a look? Just as some extra information, what was roughly in the file eg images, embedded documents adjustments etc. Could you also tell me where about you saved the file. Was it on your desktop or documents folder or was it an external drive or a network?

It happens with every file I save now..

I just opened up an 8-bit tga file and saved it as .afphoto (which I attached).

Saved it on an internal HDD, not the system drive (working on an iMac).

I converted a tga to jpeg and to png before opening and saving in Photo. Both worked without crash!

I am having the exact same problem. After hours of hard work, now I cannot even open the file I saved. Very frustrating.

I am running macOS Sierra V. 10.12.1 on an iMac.

Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MG

The file I am trying to open contains multiple layers, lines, and masks.

I have attached the file that will not open.

Please, can you help me?
