Assets missing AP2

Hi, I see that this has been asked before but I still cannot understand what to do.  I have been searching for hours.  I am using version 2.5.3 on my desktop and today I noticed that I don’t have any assets.  They are there when I click on my Account but not in my assets panel.   I have also tried Import Assets but there seems to be no afassets files on my computer.  I have looked in users\…. affinity\photo\2.0\settings etc or \user as I have seen suggested.  I have also tried holding down the Ctrl key while starting Affinity and then clearing the first 3 check boxes and then checking the Reset Assets box and then clicking on clear as was also suggested.   Can anyone help please?

Have you installed them from your Account page?

If there is a download arrow next to them you have not installed them onto your PC as yet

Click the arrow to install them, try it with the fog or rain overlay assets, not everything shown in your account will be assets

Yes, I had previously installed them from my Account page.  I have used the overlays in the past.  It has the green tick inside the green circle.

OK, if it was me, I would start AP2,

uninstall any assets I have installed on my Accounts page

close AP2

locate and delete the assets.propcol file 

Start AP2

Reinstall an asset as a test

 

I am on Windows using the exe installer so I know where to find my assets.propcol file, your configuration may be different

Thank you for your reply.  I might try that soon but I am reluctant to as I’m not using the .exe installation.  I am using the other one that is in the windows app.  I can find some items called assets.propcol (but only when I type "*" into the File Name and press Enter.)  I then see a white folder that says assets.propcol.but when I go to Affinity and then Import Assets, it is only looking for an AFASSETS File so when I click on Open, it says Import Failed Unable to import file.

I turned off my computer and a couple of hours later I turned it back on.  Somehow the assets are back.  I have no idea why.  Thanks for your help carl223.  😀

I think you meant to type carl123; carl223 is the forthcoming model, not yet released publicly.
