Affinity 2 says no items match your search

This is getting very frustrating, I go to gallery or pictures and I can see the folder with the images in there click on the image that opens in Microsoft photo and says the above, I have gone through dozens in different folders and it says the same. Any ideas?

Also, what type of file are you trying to open?

It looks like you are trying to use File > Import Content. You should be using File > Open to access existing files.

Import Content is one of the methods of adding product add-ons to the application, not for opening user files.

You should not have gotten exactly the same results. For one thing, the pulldown selection on the lower right would not say "importable content".

Please show a screenshot from File > Open, and also a screenshot of File Explorer looking at that directory. Please make sure File Explorer is configured to show file names and file extensions.
