jimjumper Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 This is probably another simple one but, I was typing in a text box in 10 pt. Created a new text box and started typing and the font is half the size even though the upper left settings bar still shows the same font and size. It will change sizes with a 20 pt font setting looking like the 10 pt in the previous box. Any ideas why? Quote
Alfred Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 Is the new text frame linked to the first one? It sounds as though you used the extra handle outside the bounding box to resize the first frame (in which case the handle will be a filled circle in version 2.5). jimjumper Posted August 4, 2024 Author Posted August 4, 2024 It wasn't linked and I don't think I resized anything. The first text frame was 10 pt as well so even if they were linked the text size for both boxes should have been the same. It was just weird that the font size setting didn't seem to have anything to do with the font size. It was, literally, the last thing for the magazine, so I just cut and pasted from some other 10 pt box and finished the project. Quote
Alfred Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 I’m afraid I don’t have an alternative explanation, but I’m glad that you managed to finish the project without too much difficulty. walt.farrell Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 Assuming you're running at least 2.5, can you give us a screenshot showing both text frames? Please include the complete application window. Not weird but nice: There are attributes that may modify the visual size without changing the numerical size.
