TroyTroy22 Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 This is super annoying trying to get positioning exact. Must be one of the most overlooked issues in the software. The positioning indicator is covered by the sizing handle. Please fix this asap! bures 1 Quote
firstdefence Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 I agree, I know there is the assumption that visually the spacing looks even'ish so what is 87 at the top would be approx 87 at the bottom, nevertheless, moving the numbers above the line in such instances would be commonsensical. With the Move Tool selected you can switch on the option "Hide Selection While Dragging" in the context toolbar See if that works better for you Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Exactly. Well that handle is in the way most of the time. You can not tell if it is 10.7 or 8.7 for example. This does not happens if the spacing is longer then the handle itself. But even though, the number should be off set of the handle. Next to it, Or forced out of the way. Quote

It is moving it with the arrow keys. The arrow keys gives your the option to move the selection by .1mm. And only while using the arrow keys these position distance indicators show. So this option you provided doesn't help the situation unfortunately. I did try this first, and many other options before posting. Seems like It was a oversight in the programs coding. But I still may be wrong. Quote

An alternative, albeit a less convenient one, is to use the X and Y controls in the Transform panel. Replace the current contents of either one with +=0.1 or -=0.1 as appropriate. Dan C Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 Thanks for your report @TroyTroy22! I can confirm this issue is logged with our development team as we're aware the 'rotation handle' can occasionally obscure these values incorrectly. I've 'bumped' this report with our team for you now to bring it to our teams attention once again Quote
