Slow startup and the program does not respond in Affinity Photo

Hope this is the right forum, I'm not that good at English.
I have to reinstall Affinity Photo V2 on my MSI with intel 12900 processor and 16 ram and SSD disk.
Seems that Affinity takes a long time to start up oh many times when I crop and then adjust the resolution of the image the program does not respond. Can I adjust something in the program to avoid this.

@bnissen If you open the apps Settings > Performance and see if Hardware Acceleration is enabled. If so, disable it and restart the app to see if that helps.

If you have Task Manager open alongside the app, what is your system resources usage like?

It's also worth checking to see if you're running the latest drivers for your graphics card.
