Placing an photo from a photo album in Mac

when i want to place a photo in an affinity document, i can't choose from the different albums of my photo app in the popup screen. So i have to scroll through all my photos to find the right one. Does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks.

I don’t have a Mac, but I have no such problem on iPad. When I choose ‘Place from Photos’, I get buttons allowing me to switch between ‘Photos’ and ‘Albums’.

I vaguely remember that you may drag&drop + press a modifier key for full image resolution. Until more users will pop-in: The question was discussed a few times.
