bobdobbs Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 I have accidently added a brush set to Affinity Designer multiple times. So in the brush menu the set shows multiple times. How can I remove the duplicate brush sets? Quote
GarryP Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 In the Brushes Panel, select the Category you want via the drop-down, then use the ‘hamburger menu’ button (top-right) and choose “Delete Category…” from the menu. R C-R 1 Quote

Note that if, as in @GarryP's screenshot, the category is linked (has the linked chain icon), you will get a choice to delete the category from all your installed Affinity apps or just AD. Harrington Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Hello! Since this problem I'm having is so closely related, I hope you all can help me get rid of this collection of brushes. (See attached screen grabs.) As you can see, it has a different symbol next to the name than other brush packs. The second grab shows that the option to delete doesn't show up with this category. I have tried the Uninstall Pack option that doesn't get rid of it either. Help! Quote

What happens when you select Uninstall? You should get a prompt asking if you'd like to uninstall it, does that happen? You can also try uninstalling it by opening My Account in the Affinity and clicking on the Green check mark next to the brush pack and that should also start the uninstall process. It would be worth clicking on the My Account icon in Affinity and making sure you don't have 'Always Install Available Content' ticked, as that could be reinstalling it after its been uninstalled. Harrington Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Hi stokerg! Thanks for the advice and the schooling! I have tried the Uninstall options and the offending brush set hasn't left the building. I'm going to go directly to My Account and see if I can uninstall it there. I will also make sure that I don't have "Always install..." checked. Never ceases to amaze me how much more there is to learn, even with programs you've been using for years. Cheers! Quote
