As a very early on user of Affinity, v.1, I've tried to return after jumping back to PS.

Well there are meany things I enjoy about Affinity, my two challenges I have, the overall UI, i.e. personas, not sure why I can't access the tools easily  without changing the entire workplace. However my biggest gripe is removing objects or minor glitches. I understand that Gen-fill is a a touchy subject and not something I am not sold on completely,  however, even the "removal tool" in PS is far superior to the inpainting tool with AF. As a commercial photographer, I would love to swap out PS for Affinity 100%, however I keep finding myself going back to PS for very simple touch ups. I'm sure I can accomplish much of the same with AF, but how long will it take and what is the learning curve? Back in my tech days, we always tried to implement the KISS methodology....Keep it simple...😎

What are ‘infractions’ in the present context? :/

You have personally and meticulously described, quite effectively, which of the two options a true professional and quality-conscious photographer should choose. It doesn't get simpler than that.

Serif, did you foolishly fill the usability specialist role you advertised internally? If so, be transparent with your customers. Continuing without proper UX expertise both insults and affects your entire customer base.

Have you tried with the Blemish Removal tool, instead?

Tried the Blemish tool, still do not want to give up PS, especially for commercial jobs.

Hopefully AP understands some of us just need to process images with limited time. Sometimes I have one in several images, I don't want to trial and error in every image. AP is 75%, there come up with a version of Gen-fill or at least a decent removal tool and I'm there.
