Whenever I assign a keyboard shortcut to a single custom made Studio preset it works just fine, initially, but is wiped out the moment I go Window > Studio (even to only check if the keyboard shortcut shows in the menu, it doesn't, without even selecting any menu options), or I quit and restart the application. If I then reload my custom keyboard shortcuts, it sometimes starts working again, but not always. The keyboard shortcut is never shown in the menu, but if I go to modify it in the settings it may be still present there, but just not working.

Hi @Juhani,

What is the keyboard shortcut you're using for your Studio preset?

I've tried with ⌥0 and also ⌥X, both behave the same way.

What exactly are you applying the shortcut to, you only have the option of 'Add Preset...' or 'Manage Studio Presets...'

There is no option (as far as I can tell) to set a shortcut for the actual saved Preset itself...

If you select "Add Preset…" you're prompted to name your preset. You will then see that custom preset in the Setting>Shortcuts>Window list, where you can assign a shortcut for it. And it does work, but only initially.

For example, for my Studio Preset named "dummy":

It required a Publisher reboot before the shortcut option appeared under settings which is why I missed it earlier, though I only see one of the shortcuts listed...

I concur with you, the shortcuts neither work nor stick after a Publisher reboot... there is also something odd about the shortcut because if I enter a new shortcut keyboard combination I see the yellow Warning triangle telling me the new value is already applied to the shortcut which it isn't...

On Windows, each Studio Preset is automatically allocated a shortcut Ctrl+Shift+1, Ctrl+Shift+2 and so on and they work as expected... In fact, there are nine defaults shown in the keyboard shortcut settings on Windows which don't change name even if you rename them under 'Manage Studio Presets...'

Clearly a bug on the Mac version...

But try allocating a shortcut to it and then reboot Publisher and see if it's still in the list of available shortcuts...

That would be enough for me, but apparently there are no such default keyboard shortcuts for custom presets on Mac version of the suite.

No, it seems that on Mac you need to set the shortcut(s) yourself, using the Shortcuts section of the application Settings.

Except you can’t… as in, you can initially set ‘one’ (and only one) but that is removed after an App reboot…

Sounds like 3 issues, then. No default shortcuts for them like Windows provides, only allowing 1, and failing to save across application restarts.
