Erase in develop persona

It would be very helpful to have a substract overlay option in the develop persona. There is an overlay erase tool, but it doesn't work with the overlay gradient tool. I have tried to add radial gradient overlay to an area, but I couldn't remove the outer, not needed parts. It can be done in the photo persona, but it's also too complicated with masking multiple adjustment layers.
