Welcome to the Affinity forums.

What action are you trying to Undo? When Cmd+Z fails to work, does Edit > Undo work?

cmd-z on my MAC does not work.

Specifically in Affinity only … or in every app and macOS Finder?

Did you change the keyboard shortcut in Affinity? … Or have you changed the keyboard language in macOS? The Z and Y keys may be swapped.

Following up on what @thomaso said, check what's actually assigned to Undo in the settings for your Affinity apps.

This screenshot is from the current version of Designer, but you can use the same steps in the other pair of apps too.

  1. Open Settings, go to the Shortcuts section,
  2. stick initially with the main Designer persona
  3. Select Edit from the second drop down menu (this corresponds to the Edit menu on your screen)
  4. Locate "Undo" and check what key is assigned…

Or just open the Edit menu in your Affinity apps & see what shortcut is assigned to the Undo item there. If CMD is part of the shortcut you should see the ⌘ symbol, followed by Z or whatever else might be assigned to the Undo shortcut.

To All, Thanks.

I just checked the shortcuts other apps in my MAC..it works

I know now where to check, edit and look up for shortcuts. in Aff-Photo. ( I have a trial at this moment)

And Undo / Redo does not work across the persona's.

I will continue exploring the software.

If you just click on the Edit menu do you see any shortcuts for Undo or Redo, like ⌘Z or ⇧⌘Z?

Please explain that a bit more.

1. What action did you perform, and what is shown in the History panel?

2. What did you expect Undo to accomplish?

Undo only handles document changes that are logged in the History panel.
