bobdobbs Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 I'm creating text in Photo. By default the text has a white stroke and black fill. I want to remove the stroke and make the text smooth. By default it has a stroke which looks pixalated. With the text tool selected I can see a UI element for choosing the colour. But I can't see an element for editing the stroke. Quote
GarryP Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 (edited) Most things will look ‘pixelated’ up-to-a-point, especially when zoomed in, in Photo as it always displays the contents of the document at a ‘pixel level’, which is different to how Designer and Publisher display the document (unless Pixel View Mode, or Retina View Mode is switched on). Which “text tool” are you using? Since there isn’t a Stroke Panel in Photo, you need to change the Stroke in a different way. For text one way to do this is to use the Character Panel and set the Outline Colour in the Decorations section. Alternatively, if you just want to set the Stroke to None then you can do so via the Colour Panel or the Swatches Panel. Edited July 30, 2024 by GarryP Added clarification. Quote
Old Bruce Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 To add to @GarryP's advice here is a shot of the Character Panel from Photo. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
