Ravenowl
I am trying to put a text into a jpg image. When the text box expands (as I write the text) both text and background are black and I cannot figure out how to change either. I thought earlier that I had it figured out but I was clearly wrong. Is there a tutorial that I have missed that would walk me through this as it doesn't work in a logical way that I can just figure out from looking at my options. The help pages didn't yield anything either (or I missed it). I have also looked at some posts about rasterisation, unfortunately that went straight over my head - I am self fought and probably not knowledgeable enough, sorry. Thoroughly frustrated, any help is most appreciated.
Staff MEB Posted June 18, 2016 Staff Share Posted June 18, 2016 Hello Ravenowl, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) You can change the text fill colour in the context toolbar (right above the work area) clicking over the Fill colour rectangle and selecting one from the Colour tab (you can also use the Swatches and Gradient tabs if appropriate). To change the background colour click the Character button on the context toolbar. The background colour is second rectangle on the right (see screenshot).
