LilleG
Is there any way to group a number of palettes, undock the group, and then toggle the group on/off with a shortcut key? For example, I would like to group Histogram, Scope, and EXIF in one undocked palette that I could toggle on/off as needed with a shortcut key for the group. That would make it very easy to have a clean uncluttered workspace while offering easy access to tools and palettes with a minimum of keystrokes. There are other groupings that I would like to set up but having to call each one individually is a royal pain. Am I overlooking something? Is there a better way to accomplish this? Staff MEB Posted June 17, 2016 Staff Share Posted June 17, 2016 Hi LilleG Drag the tabs of the panels you want to group into a single panel outside the studio (drag the tabs over the others to add to the group). To collapse the group double-click the name of one of the tabs. The entire group will collapse. LilleG
They will collapse but the header bar is still taking up space either in the image space or covering part of the Context bar. Not as handy but workable, especially if I then Hide the UI. It would be nice though to be able to toggle a grouped palette on/off with a single shortcut. Staff MEB Posted June 17, 2016 Staff Share Posted June 17, 2016 I see what you mean, but currently that's not possible. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
LilleG
Ah well, one can hope that maybe someday... Anyway, thanks for your help. I've set up a number of grouped and collapsed palettes across the top of my image space and it's really not that intrusive.
