Old Bruce
I would just throw a rectangle on top of the image layer with a radial gradient from white to black and set the rectangle's blend mode to multiply. Note that an actual vignette is caused by light falloff from the design of the lens used to make the photograph, more pronounced with a large aperture than a small one for the given lens. Often it can be caused by, or exacerbated by the lens used to make the enlargement. It is always circular not elliptical, height to width ratio is 1:1. Dan C
11 hours ago, Tormy said: Otherwise I have to export form Designer and import into Photo There is no requirement to export here, If you wish to quickly switch your active document between the Affinity apps, you can use File > Edit In Photo... from within Designer to send your document to Photo for editing. Here you can quickly add your Vignette and then save the document, or return to Designer using File > Edit In Designer... Alternatively there are ways to achieve this in Designer directly, as Bruce shows above

Alternatively, make the centre of the radial gradient black with zero opacity (instead of white with full opacity) and leave the blend mode at ‘Normal’. Tormy
Guys, thank yo so much to all of you. I learned something really smart like "Export to..." It was under my nose every time I clicked on "file" but never paid attention to it. Bout the "Multiply": it's really a great trick as well. Unfortunately it affects also everything is further underneath the layers I'm interested to apply the vignette. However, in my case, I managed it and the result: splendid! Dan C 1 Quote System: Prod. GarryP
An alternative to the method shown by Old Bruce above, with a similar result, would be to use a Gradient Overlay Effect, with no extra layers needed – see attached image.
