Is this an ad? Am not sure how this helps the community?

As I understand it "resources" included here are not necessarily free resources, so there's no problem mentioning that you have a commercial product available, as long as it is relevant to Affinity software.

Acer XC-895 : Core i5-10400 Hexa-core 2.90 GHz :  32GB RAM : Intel UHD Graphics 630 : Windows 10 Home
Affinity Publisher 2 : Affinity Photo 2 : Affinity Designer 2 : (latest release versions) on desktop and iPad

Apologies, I obviously got it wrong! I could have sworn that other people had posted in this thread to promote "non free" resources for Affinity, with no problem.

EDIT: They have - such as

Acer XC-895 : Core i5-10400 Hexa-core 2.90 GHz :  32GB RAM : Intel UHD Graphics 630 : Windows 10 Home
Affinity Publisher 2 : Affinity Photo 2 : Affinity Designer 2 : (latest release versions) on desktop and iPad

If I remember correctly I asked the Moderators about this once, and they allow it for things directly related to Affinity. But some users at least provide a small free subset of their product, which to me is a better approach.

Very nice brushes, no doubt about it. But the users should be aware of, that there is a problem with the lighting angle. In reality the light source will not follow the stroke. If the light comes from e.g. the left, it will come from the left at any point of the stroke. This is a feature, the brush engine doesn't offer, so you will not really get realistic results. If that is not a problem for you, so there is no problem at all. I only wanted to point at this.

It has always struck me as rather odd that we’re allowed to say “I’ll let you have these resources if you’re willing to pay me” but not “I need some help for which I’m willing to pay you”!

Obviously it's very nice when people do provide free resources, but I'm quite happy for others to post about commercial products, as long as they are specifically for use with Affinity. Quite often the only way I find out about these products is by seeing them here.

I think that's a large part of the reason that the Moderators allow them.
